Every morning at 10:00 Hoot gives a pilot's briefing. Pilots are not allowed to operate in the Burning Rock area until they have attended this briefing. After the briefing active pilots signed certifying that they attended the briefing so they could receive the silver wrist bands which permitted them free passage through the trash fence gate and access to the flight line. Ed attended the Tuesday morning briefing and must have smiled or nodded at all the right places. Hoot handed him one of the wrist bands.
